Hardware Recommendations
Our AI products require a capture card and an aim device. Below you'll find our recommended compatible hardware with detailed specs, pros, and cons.
You need both a capture card and an aim device for our products to work. Make sure your setup meets the minimum requirements before purchasing a subscription.
Elgato 4K X
External USB capture card. plug and play, no PC case opening needed
The Elgato 4K X is an external capture card that sits between your gaming PC and monitor as a passthrough device. It connects to your second PC via USB 3.0 to send the video feed to Tipsy Aim. We highly recommend 1080p 240fps with capture format set to NV12. anything above 1080p will add more delay and/or lower FPS.
Specifications
Pros
- External, just plug USB into your second PC, no case opening
- 1080p 240fps capture with NV12 format for best performance
- Zero-lag passthrough to your gaming monitor
- HDMI passthrough, your monitor connects through the Elgato
- Compact and portable, easy to move between setups
Cons
- More expensive than the GC573
- Needs a USB 3.0 port (blue inside) for full performance
- Requires two HDMI cables (in from GPU, out to monitor)
AVerMedia GC573
Internal PCIe capture card. goes inside your second PC
The AVerMedia GC573 is an internal capture card that slots into a PCIe x4 slot on your second PC. Unlike the Elgato, it has no passthrough, your gaming monitor connects directly to your GPU, and you set the GC573 as a duplicate display. We highly recommend 1080p 240fps with capture format set to NV12. anything above 1080p will add more delay and/or lower FPS.
Specifications
Pros
- 1080p 240fps capture with NV12 format for best performance
- PCIe connection, rock solid, no USB bandwidth issues
- Cheaper than the Elgato 4K X
- No extra cables between GPU and monitor
Cons
- Internal, you need to open your PC and install it in a PCIe x4 slot
- No HDMI passthrough, requires duplicate display setup in Windows
- Windows only
- Avoid riser cables unless they support full bandwidth

Undetected aim device with hardware-level input. auto-connects with Tipsy Aim
